What can we offer

We offer double or twin rooms with private bathrooms, towels and bed linen. Hot tub on the terrace, private bathroom, and kitchen. A spacious and comfortable cottage suitable for 8 adults and 2 children. Private bathroom, kitchen facilities, and a cozy terrace.

At Friðheimar, the principle has been to grow tomatoes with optimum taste quality while maintaining eco-friendly standards. At Friðheimar, we grow tomatoes all year round, despite Iceland’s long, dark winters under artificial lighting in greenhouses.

We also breed horses, and put on a horse show – in fourteen languages. We welcome visitors to see our greenhouses, and then enjoy a non gamstop taste of the crop. Their five children, Dóróthea, Karítas, Matthías Jens, Arnaldur and Tómas Ingi, all play an active part in the family business.

Discover cozy cottages in Blönduós, North Iceland. Since tomatoes are about 90% water, the quality of the water the plant receives is essential. Enjoy a unique food experience in our restaurant, where the tomatoes grow all around! Our staff is ready to help you and make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Great beds, location, and friendly staff. We are a family-friendly guesthouse.

Friðheimar is very much a family affair, run by Knútur Rafn Ármann and his wife Helena Hermundardóttir.
